Emotionally Well Communities CIC is a creative health and wellbeing organisation dedicated to strengthening the connection between creativity and the health and quality of people’s lives.
We exist to ensure that when the first signs of emotional difficulty appear, children, young people and adults have the opportunity to be seen, heard, and supported in ways that allow them to feel safe and emotionally at ease. Our work focuses on early, preventative support—offering health and wellbeing interventions upstream, before difficulties develop into more serious mental health challenges later in life.
Today we deliver a range of innovative, high-quality local and national services. These include our flagship two-acre active outdoor psychotherapy space and programmes that bring together culture, art, sport and creativity to support physical and emotional wellbeing. Central to this work is Action Art Play, our approach to creative expression that encourages movement, imagination and artistic exploration as powerful tools for emotional regulation, connection and growth.
We work in partnership with local authorities, the NHS, grant providers and community participants to deliver projects that improve the health, wellbeing and life opportunities of children, young adults and the wider community.
Improving outcomes for the people we support is at the heart of everything we do. A fundamental part of this commitment is safeguarding. We maintain high standards of safety, care and responsibility across all of our work to ensure that every participant can engage in a secure, supportive and nurturing environment.
